Our Goal for Students:
Our goal is simple, to teach students how to ride any horse that comes into their lives. Very often people find themselves with horses out of their skill level, or would like to ride horses they feel are "too much" for them to handle. We want to teach you how to handle those horses and make them work for you. We will take in students who have never ridden before and give them a solid, confident foundation, or we will help improve the skills of riders who already know how to ride. Lessons given on our horses or yours.

We don't want students learning only how to ride at horse shows, our goal is to teach students how to ride their horses through everyday situations! Once a student has mastered basic skills they can move onto showing or recreational riding. Being offered a variety of different riding styles will promote a better understanding of horses and better horsemanship.

Training
Great Meadow Farms is now offering training for horses. We will take in horses that haven't been started, and problem horses. Customize training to fit your needs. Training will take place in the indoor, out on trails, and in the roundpen. We will work problems with tacking, clipping, ground manners and riding. Call for details and rates.
Don't just learn how to ride, learn how to ride anything!
Emphasis on:
* Care and handling of horses
* Grooming
* Tack cleaning and selection
* Roundpen work/training
* Learning skills that will help students be life-long, confident riders
* NOTE: Currently GMF does not have lesson horses to handle children under 8 and riders over 250 lbs. We may in the future, so please check with us if you have any questions!
