Where are they now?
Recently a buyer of Great Meadow Farms came to me with an idea. She thought we should add a page where people could share good stories about the horses they've found with us...well, here it is. On this page I will post pictures and emails. If you have a story you'd like to share, please email it to me.
Story 1: Tara and Cosmo
"Just thought you guys would like to hear how things are going.... He's AWESOME, the love of my life! You should have a message board where people can tell how wonderful their horses are. We can post pictures and stories of the horses from your barn and show people how happy we are. I think what you guys do is great, and when I am ready, you'll be the first place I go for my next buddy." Thanks A Lot! Tara and Cosmo P.S. This is a picture of how well he's doing! His first blue!
Thanks for the idea!
|
Story 2: Jess and Nash
"I just wanted to share a picture of Nash and I at the Oak Rise show this weekend. We have come a long way. He was so calm and relaxed and seemed to be enjoying himself at the show. I just wanted to share this picture with you, and if anyone ever needs a reference you can use me. " Thanks, Jess
Story 3: Vicki and Auggie Mccue
"Auggie (sometimes we call her Sweetpea, Auggie, Aug-magog, Buttercup) is a very sweet horse! She is very happy now that she has a buddy. We picked up a Morgan X teenager for her, and they couldn't have been better matched if we'd tried! We've been doing some Parelli bareback training with her and she seems to enjoy it. You can tell by the way that she is so brave and curious that she's never been mistreated, as many horse I have seen. Thanks for getting her off on such a good start. We're both still learning, but she's maturing nicely and is an awesome buddy!" Thanks, Vicki
Story 4: Milinda and Brady (Valid Lupin)
"This is a great idea...and I would love to share my story as well. I bought Valid Lupin (aka Mikey) from you last December. I did change his name to Brady, which suits him to a "T". We are doing wonderfully and I am so happy with him. We are mostly enjoying eachother and going out on the trail. Thank you for making my dream come true." Milinda
Story 5: Lorraine and Skippa
"Hi. I just wanted to drop you a short note to say thank you for Skippa. He has turned out to be exactly what I was looking for. Willing and a lot of fun to ride - safe and steady! I have attached a couple of pictures of him. The second picture is at the Reining Clinic held by Lisa at her stable. He is being ridden by clinician David Davis, who is a third time world champion in reining competition. He was very impressed by Skippa's demeanor during the long sessions, and his willingness to do the demonstrations when requested to." Thanks Again, Lorriane
Story 6: Beth and Foxy
"I bought foxy from you in August 2001. In the year I had her, she taught me so much! We had so much fun together showing, trail riding, doing hunter paces, in lessons, and just schooling. She was an amazing horse and an incredible jumper." Thank You, Beth
Story 7: Allyson and Autumn (Misty)
" I bought "Misty" (now I call her Autumn) about a month ago. She has adapted wonderfully to her new surroundings and is enjoying her new paddock pal and other horses! She is a lot of fun to ride and is just the right amount of challenge for me. She winnies when she sees me. She is just what I was looking for and we make a great match. I can't wait to get my barn built so I can bring her home. Cold, snowy mornings with pajamas and coffee is what I am thinking! Of course she'll need a new friend so she isn't all alone...hint hint." Take care and good luck.... Allyson and Autumn
Auggie and Rump Roast!
In order to ad larger pictures and reduce the time that it takes for them to load, we have moved some pictures to the second Where Are They Now? page.
